Worth Remembering

A: "Mommy, I want to be a Mom when I grown up...
you make it look easy."

Ha! I must be a REALLY good actress.

Sick Days

Most of our house (4 out of 7) is sick right now...fever, cough, chills...in bed. I am hoping that I don't get it...because even if I do, I will still have to take care of everyone :)

G in "Thoroughly Modern Millie"

G did a fabulous job playing Miss Dorothy in the musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie" -- it was a lot of practice, but also a lot of fun. G loves the stage and impresses all of us with her incredible talent (she is also quite humble, which is dear). The little girls LOVE seeing her on stage in all her costumes and makeup...they always learn all the songs from the latest show G is in. They really look up to her a lot. G gets annoyed by them, but I always remind her that in a few years she will be away at college and she will miss them terribly~

Welcome 2008!

For 2008 my goal is to actually write in this blog and not just insert my favorite pictures...I can't imagine anyone actually wanting to read about what I'm up to...but at least it's a nice way to keep a journal~

Window Artwork

I had to get a picture of the kids' Christmas artwork in the window by our front door.
It was mostly from M&S...preschool fun! G thought it was strange that we had a menorah in our window. I thought it was cool!

R Makes Dinner by Himself!

For his Life Skills class, R had to make an entire dinner by himself. He had to shop for it, cook it, and clean it up. He also had to calculate how much it cost to make per serving. For Chicken Divan, rice and salad, it cost $2.09 a serving for 8 servings. It makes you realize how expensive fast food is! R loved doing this...he likes to help in the kitchen.

His Life Skills class is actually very good. They learn about random life skills -- how to deal with peer pressure, making a budget, typing, community service...it's been good for him.
